After two months of dating, my partner said he wanted to marry. Of course we couldn't at that time since we were so young (21 years old.) At first his statement freaked me out. How could he say that after just 2 months? We're going on 6 years and will marry in 2025 when he is done with his PhD :)

Found it very interesting to look at the bridal shopping experience in Korea.Nice to hear that most often brides choose rentals, which is so much more convenient and makes sense, instead of buying a ginormous dress and then not knowing what to do with it after the wedding. In my country (Northern Europe) unfortunately bridal rentals are not a thing, so I had to buy my dress instead of rent :( Also - was surprised to see that you can go to fitting with a face full of make up - in my country you are advised to not have make up at all on you to not ruin the dress with it while trying on. I was warned by couple salons before the fitting about this and asked if I am wearing makeup during the fittings. So happy to see Kieun happy and excited during this wedding planning instead of stressed out - hopefully everything turns out he way you want it or even better!

I didn't see you getting your hanboks, I was a hanbok designer for a number of years in Seoul in the late 1990s and early 2000s and I remember the amount of time into choosing the mother and mother in laws dresses as well as the bride and grooms hanboks and the box for the HAHM that was delivered the night before. AS years went on I remember fewer and fewer customers coming since people were not getting married. As for many of our customers it was more common for the mother and mother in law to get Korean traditional hanging tassels and jade or silver double rings and hair pins. It was a problem sometimes that embroidered designs I would create for a VIP and were hand emboydered and then follow up clients would want it copied for them since they may have seen it in a magazine (REMEMBER IT WAS THE AGE BEFORE SOCIAL MEDIA). I was in Seoul this past April and went to KWANGJANG market to visit some silk shops I used to order from and saw they all closed.
